European Association of Development Agencies -  EURADA kindly invite you to the high-level conference The Next Generation of Education and Training in the Wood and Furniture Sectors and Why It Matters for Development Agencies in Brussels on the 30th of October 2019 from 08:30 to 19:30.

What’s in it for me? The conference will allow you to:
  • gather intelligence from the European Commission (EACEA; DG-CONNECT; DG-RTD) about opportunities and challenges of Industry 4.0 (I4.0) for enterprises as well as the future of the Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe programmes for 2021-2027;
  • network with EU SME umbrella organisations and large companies (especially for the sectors: wood and furniture; food and beverage; luxury) as well as leading VET/universities from Germany, the UK, Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, etc.
  • develop ideas, partnerships and projects on I4.0 related topics through dedicated sessions and “project champions” helping conference attendees actively work together in view of relevant calls.
The conference has a clear mission: to take up the challenge of Industry 4.0 (I4.0). Nowadays, all industrial sectors are equally hit by transformations of I4.0. However, structured exchanges between entrepreneurs of diverse sectors about how to make their business future proof are very rare. To this end, the conference will gather successful companies of wood and furniture, food and beverage and luxury industries to present best-practices and find solutions to common challenges imposed by I4.0. Also, a robust number of VET/technical universities will showcase trainings and joint curricula about how to make learners and employees “I4.0 proof” especially based on the innovative results of the IN4WOOD project. Finally, as “managers of regional economic ecosystems” RDAs will be given special visibility as they can best connect regional actors of the triple-helix in order to benefit the most from I4.0 transformations.
There are only 70 conference places available! The European Commission, RDAs and other high-level companies’ organisations already confirmed their participation, so please register as soon as possible by clicking HERE.
In case you do not frequently travel to Brussels, EURADA will be glad to support you for organisational and logistic issues. Please contact Tessa ANNÉ for any questions/clarifications.
